“A testing course which is set in a former tin mine”
The Canyon Course at the Blue Canyon Country Club is located in a former tin mine and it still has some of the hallmarks of its former past yet has evolved since then. Tiger Woods won the Asian Victory at this course in 1998 and it is revered as one of the best in Thailand. The Canyon Course has three restaurants as well as clean showers and sizeable locker rooms. Although some golfers agree that it should be renovated, the Canyon Course is still very popular and attracts a steady stream of local and international golfers who want to try its attractive holes for themselves.
Thailand Golf Tours brings visitors from all over the world to enjoy the incredible course at the Canyon Course and can easily organise your visit. Thailand Golf Tours works with individual and group travellers to plan tours to Thailand’s many golf courses; as part of a visit to Thailand or as the basis for an entire holiday in Thailand focused on golf. With excellent local contacts and wealth of local knowledge, Thailand Golf Tours are able to ensure the golf break or holiday that suits your skills, interest, budget and time requirements.
Designed by Yoshikazu Kato, the Canyon Course at the Blue Canyon Country Club has 18 holes, is a par 72 and is 7179 yards long. The characteristics of its former life are still evident, in particular the rusty water which flows through the streams that are at this course. There are many wonderful holes at the Canyon Course, such as the par 5 11th which is a massive 600 yards long. A difficult hole, water crosses the fairway and many golfers believe that a bogey is a decent score. Although this course is difficult, its many challenges will test golfers and they could find a completely different way to approach future shots.
