“A conveniently located course which is popular with international golfers”
Situated behind the Mae Jo University, travelling to the Mae Jo Golf Club doesn’t take long because it is less than half an hour away from Chiang Mai. Views of Doi Suthep, which is a mountainous region in Chiang Mai, can be enjoyed at this golf course. Its clubhouse has both a restaurant and a lodge. The Mae Jo Golf Club also has putting greens and a driving range which golfers can practice on before or after their round.
Thailand Golf Tours brings visitors from all over the world to enjoy the incredible course at the Mae Jo Golf Club and can easily organise your visit. Thailand Golf Tours works with individual and group travellers to plan tours to Thailand’s many golf courses; as part of a visit to Thailand or as the basis for an entire holiday in Thailand focused on golf. With excellent local contacts and wealth of local knowledge, Thailand Golf Tours are able to ensure the golf break or holiday that suits your skills, interest, budget and time requirements.
Designed by Seni Thirawat, who has created other courses in Thailand, the Mae Jo Golf Club has 18 holes, is a par 72 and is a relatively short course because it is only 6657 yards long. Thousands of fruit trees line its fairways and is suitable for golfers of all abilities although novice golfers might find its long holes difficult to play. The par 5’s are particularly sizeable and extra shots might be required if a driving shot is poorly executed. Many of its fairways are gentle and don’t cause a lot of problems for golfers although players need to concentrate throughout their round. As the Mae Jo Golf Club is not far away from Chiang Mai, overseas golfers won’t spend much of their time on travelling to it.
